Sofía Cid: “Los vecinos de Tierra Amarilla viven con miedo a causa del socavón”
La Diputada Sofía Cid, se refirió al socavón que ha tenido en alerta a Tierra Amarilla.
“Ya ha pasado más de una semana desde que apareció el socavón en Tierra Amarilla, y los vecinos aún no reciben una solución para este grave problema que los tiene atormentados, y viviendo con miedo”, indicó la diputada por Atacama.
“He tenido la oportunidad de hablar con algunos vecinos, y me han manifestado su preocupación ante la respuesta de las autoridades y la Compañía Minera dueña del terreno afectado. Se han realizado varias reuniones al respecto, tanto con autoridades locales como con los entes técnicos que tienen competencias en este tema, donde quedó claro que se deben hacer estudios, los que durarán por lo menos más de 6 meses, siendo bien optimista. Pero la gente no puede esperar tanto tiempo para que le den una solución a este problema”. Dijo Cid.
“Estamos todos de acuerdo con que es necesario realizar estos estudios para darle tranquilidad a los habitantes y trabajadores de Tierra Amarilla. Pero en paralelo también se debe trabajar y dar soluciones rápidas. Se han recibido un par de denuncias de la aparición de pequeños socavones en patios de algunos vecinos, lo que podría ser indicio de que esto no es un caso aislado. Gracias a Dios no hemos tenido que lamentar alguna tragedia humana, pero no podemos quedarnos de brazos cruzados esperando a que algo más grave ocurra. Es por esto que oficié a la Ministra de Minería para solicitar su visita presencial a la zona, para ver en terreno el problema que está generando el Socavón”, concluyó la parlamentaria.
