Los senadores de oposición que integran las comisiones unidas de Hacienda y Trabajo rechazaron el proyecto que reajusta el salario mínimo y el Ingreso Mínimo Garantizado, según señalaron, con el objetivo de enviarlo a una comisión mixta. Los parlamentarios resaltaron la necesidad de llegar a un «acuerdo amplio» con el Gobierno luego de que la Cámara de Diputados también rechazaran la propuesta del Ejecutivo respecto a los montos y ahora, en la instancia de los senadores no se entregara un planteamiento nuevo. Así el proyecto fue rechazado por seis votos en contra de todos los legisladores de oposición y tres a favor del oficialismo. Con esto, se espera que el texto pueda ser visto esta misma tarde por la Sala y mañana revisarse en la mixta.
