El club Real Madrid anunció que el atacante francés Karim Benzema dio positivo por Coronavirus, luego de su participación hace algunas semanas en la Euro 2020 con la selección de su país.
En un breve comunicado, el cuadro español reportó: «Real Madrid comunica que nuestro jugador Karim Benzema ha dado resultado positivo en Covid-19».
El jugador se encontraba en Francia de vacaciones tras su participación en la Eurocopa y deberá hacercuarentena obligatoria antes de sumarse a la pretemporada de los «merengues».
El delantero vivirá su temporada 12 en el elenco «merengue», en el que ha ganado cuatro Champions League.
