Pucobre y Seremi del Trabajo lanzan curso de capacitación en maquinaria pesada minera para vecinos y vecinas de Tierra Amarilla

Sociedad Punta del Cobre S.A. (Pucobre), en una alianza público-privada con la Seremía del Trabajó, lanzó en Tierra Amarilla lo que será un importante curso de capacitación en operaciones de maquinaría pesada en minería, donde 36 vecinos y vecinas de tierra Amarilla, serán entrenados como operadores y operadoras, otorgándoles así herramientas para promover su inserción laboral en el sector minero.
Destacable resulta que 21 las personas que realizarán el curso, sean mujeres, ya que la intención es prepararlas para así fomentar el empleo femenino en la minería.
Al respecto, la Seremi del Trabajo Gladys Cortés, comentó:
“Este programa, fruto de una alianza público-privada entre Pucobre y la Seremía del Trabajo, es muy importante, sabemos las cifras de desempleo que tenemos en la región, y también una brecha importante en cuanto a capacitaciones y certificaciones que necesita la minería especialmente, así que estamos en una coordinación, para capacitar a estas 36 personas en temas muy específicos de maquinaria, a través de un trabajo colaborativo que permita la absorción de mano de obra local”.
Carlos Ulloa, Seremi de Minería, por su lado expresó:
“Se trata de una iniciativa muy interesante, muy importante, y necesaria en nuestra región que tiene que ver con una alianza entre Pucobre y el sector público, para brindar capacitaciones a personas que un futuro podrán emplearse en el sector minero, por lo que valoramos esta iniciativa que entrega herramientas que son muy necesarias para la inserción laboral, y es importante destacar que de los 36 cupos, 21 serán ocupados mujeres, lo que permitirá abrir puertas a más personas del sexo femenino para trabajar en minería”.
Presente en la instancia, Cristóbal Zúñiga, Alcalde de Tierra Amarilla dijo:
“Hoy damos comienzo a un curso de capacitación para vecinos y vecinas de Tierra Amarilla, incluyendo muchos jóvenes y muchas mujeres, para capacitarse en lo que es operación especializada de maquinaria pesada, lo que es un plus tremendo para insertarse en el mundo laboral, en especial en lo que es minería, que es tan importante para nuestra comuna”.
David Sanz, Gerente de Sustentabilidad de Pucobre, expresó al respecto:
“Esta es una iniciativa que se suma a otras que hemos realizado como Pucobre, apoyando a la comunidad local, en este caso en Tierra Amarilla, como también lo hacemos con Paipote y Copiapó, en esta ocasión hemos partido con un curso de operadores de equipos mineros subterráneos a 36 vecinos y vecinas de Tierra Amarilla, de esas 36 personas, 21 son damas, y que esperamos que hacia el futuro, al finalizar este año, poder contar con ellos y ellas en nuestras faenas, o en su defecto, que queden disponibles como trabajadores para otras empresas mineras de la región de Atacama o del norte de Chile, esto refleja el compromiso que tenemos con las comunidades a las cuales pertenecemos, como es el caso de la comuna de Tierra Amarilla donde ahora estamos presentes”.
