Silva Zumarán resultó víctima de un paro cardio-respiratorio que terminó con su vida, dejando profunda congoja y desconsuelo en su esposa Verónica Lillo, y sus dos hijos, Juan Pablo y Francisca, como además en dos nietos, familiares y amigos.

Sus restos mortales están siendo velados en Funeraria Candelaria, donde a contar de las 15:00 horas de este martes 31 de diciembre del 2019 se oficiará una misa por el eterno descanso de su alma, para luego a las 16:00 horas efectuarse su funeral en el Cementerio Municipal de Copiapó.
