Tras la reunión habitual del Consejo de Seguridad, instancia comunal donde el municipio reúne a representantes de Carabineros, PDI y Fiscalía, la encargada del Departamento de Prevención Comunitaria y Seguridad, Catisis Lobos Alcota, comentó que en la actualidad la totalidad de las cámaras de vigilancia que corresponden a operación del municipio, se encuentran totalmente operativas, y que el personal que opera dicho sistema está también plenamente dedicado a cumplir esta importante función en beneficio de la seguridad de la comunidad.
Junto con destacar la coordinación que ha tenido el departamento municipal que encabeza con las dos policías, como por ejemplo con la nueva unidad OS14 de Carabineros con la cual ya existen protocolos concretos de trabajo, Catisis Lobos señaló que “hoy día nace la unidad OS14 de Carabineros en donde tenemos que generar coordinaciones más concretas y permanentes de una manera sistemática. Hoy ya con Carabineros, con el mayor Tomasoni, tenemos protocolos concretos, todas las cámaras de las cuales dispone el sistema están en operación, de hecho,
recuperamos cámaras fijas y recuperamos todas las cámaras en el centro que estaban debilitadas a propósito del último incendio que ocurrió en calle Colchagua”.
De igual manera, hizo hincapié en que se está trabajando estrechamente con Fiscalía a fin de proveerle de todo medio de prueba que dicha entidad les requiera, labor que a juicio de Lobos contribuye indudablemente a que la delincuencia retroceda en la comuna, y a la vez la comunidad organizada avance en recuperar los espacios públicos que legítimamente le pertenecen.
Finalmente, la profesional hizo un llamado a la comunidad a mantenerse informada por canales oficiales, y a no hacerse eco de comentarios desinformados que buscan instalar la duda sobre el trabajo humano que se realiza y la operatividad del sistema de vigilancia de la comuna, el cual le
pertenece a todos los habitantes de Vallenar pues contribuye a sentirnos todos más seguros.
