Más de 7 mil pañales para adultos hizo entrega el Colegio San Lorenzo a Campaña en Ayuda del Hogar de Ancianos

Una emotiva jornada de reflexión fue la que ayer se vivió en dependencias del Colegio San Lorenzo de Copiapó en el marco de la entrega de su donativo a la XVIII Campaña en Ayuda del Hogar de Ancianos “Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria” de Copiapó.

Y fue un momento verdaderamente especial, por cuanto con la entrega de su aporte el establecimiento retomó las tradicionales jornada de reflexión después de varios meses de no hacerla, debido a las medidas de prevención y fundamentalmente de distanciamiento que mantiene el colegio para prevenir algún contagio del Covid-19.

Fue precisamente su rector, Juan Isidoro Zambrano Soto, quien recibió a los representantes de la campaña 2021, a la directora del Hogar de Ancianos, sor Luciana Abanto Chávez y al editor de Diario Chañarcillo, Héctor Naveas Olguín.

El doctor Isidoro Zambrano en su intervención destacó la realización de esta campaña por parte de nuestro periódico que este 2021 cumple 18 años de manera ininterrumpida, al mismo tiempo que destacó la tremenda labor que realiza la Congregación de Religiosas de los Abuelos Desamparados en el cuidado de los adultos mayores que residen en el Hogar.

La emoción más importante vivida durante el acto realizado en el gimnasio techado del Colegio San Lorenzo resultó cuando el propio rector informó la gran cantidad de pañales para adultos reunidos durante su campaña interna, la cual supera las 7 mil unidades.

Tanto el doctor Isidoro Zambrano, como la directora del Hogar de Ancianos, la madre Luciana, y el editor de nuestro medio de comunicación, Héctor Naveas, coincidieron en felicitar a toda la Comunidad Sanlorencina por el esfuerzo efectuado en la recolección de los donativos, pese a las dificultades económicas imperantes en la actualidad a raíz de la pandemia del Coronavirus.

Cabe destacar que el Colegio San Lorenzo desde el año 1 que participa activamente en la campaña, constituyendo la institución que más aportes realiza a esta obra de amor y solidaridad en beneficio de nuestros adultos mayores.
