Nueve agrupaciones chilenas de jazz y world music se presentarán este año en el VI Festival Chile Jazz, encuentro musical que será transmitido durante tres días(5, 6 y 7 de noviembre), vía streaming desde m100.cl. Una digitalización del tradicional ciclo que permitirá por primera vez su exhibición al extranjero.
PROGRAMA VI FESTIVAL CHILE JAZZ
La primera jornada estará a cargo de Christian Galvez Organ Trío, Jasper Huystentruyt Trío y Carmen Paz Ensamble Sudaca.
El día siguiente será el turno de Mariano Casanova Piano Solo, Mauricio Rodríguez Cuarteto y Natalia Contesse.
El cierre será protagonizado por Roberto C. Lecaros Trio, Serena Brass y Claudio Rubio Quinteto.
La producción creativa del Festival Chile Jazz, estuvo a cargo del Sello Lago Frío y la Corporación Cultural de la Cámara Chilena de la Construcción, que contó con la curatoría de los músicos chilenos Pedro Greene -integrante histórico de la banda de jazz La Marraqueta- y Felipe Greene director musical del festival.
LOS ARTISTAS
Christian Gálvez hace música inclinada hacia jazz rock y el jazz progresivo en torno al órgano Hammond B3, donde se mezcla la textura y color clásicos de este versátil instrumento. En esta ocasión estará mostrando la música original de sus discos Cinético (2010) y The Organ Kuartet (2014) en formato power trío.
El pianista belga Jasper Huysentruyt tiene afinidad con los estilos tradicionales y contemporáneos a través de estilos como el jazz y el blues. Estará mostrando su álbum Condors (2015) que grabó en formato trío.
Mezclando tradición con vanguardia Carmen Paz y Ensamble Sudaca no deja de lado la música folclórica de Latinoamérica. Con ellos ha tenido innumerables conciertos y participaciones en diferentes festivales nacionales. La artista ha grabado 3 discos, entre ellos Colores que fue nominado a los Premios Pulsar en la categoría de Mejor Artista de Jazz en 2017.
