La región realiza 57.4 exámenes por cada mil habitantes
El laboratorio de Biología Molecular de la Universidad de Atacama (UDA) ha aumentado su capacidad de testeo al punto que -en promedio- procesa unas 400 muestras nasofaríngeas diariamente, según recordó el director del Servicio de Salud, Claudio Baeza, sin embargo, la tasa acumulada de la región es de “57.4 exámenes por mil habitantes”.
De este total de muestras procesadas por el equipo de profesionales dirigidos por el Dr. César Echeverría, Copiapó es la que registra la mayor incidencia de testeo con 61.8 por cada mil habitantes y le sigue Vallenar con 61.1, tomando en cuenta el trabajo que realizan los médicos de los servicios de Atención Primeria.
Este muestreo podría variar con el despliegue territorial que promueve el Servicio de Salud en coordinación con los alcaldes para testear a más personas en jornadas masivas; de hecho, con el acercamiento de las pruebas PCR a la comunidad de forma gratuita que se hizo durante la semana pasada se hicieron 641 exámenes, de los cuales nueve dieron positivo.
En detalle, En Copiapó se testearon a 310 personas y siete tenían el virus, en Caldera fueron 132, pero todos fueron descartados y en Freririna 199, de los cuales -hasta ahora- dos dieron positivo. (FKG)
