Intendente y alcaldes coordinan ejecución del programa Alimentos para Chile
El intendente de Atacama, Patricio Urquieta, se reunió este viernes con los alcaldes de la región para coordinar la ejecución del plan “Alimentos para Chile”, que busca llevar canastas de productos alimenticios y de higiene a las familias más vulnerables debido a la pandemia del coronavirus.
El mandatario aseguró que los alimentos llegarán lo antes posible, ya que “estamos concentrando muchas energías para que así sea, y desde luego que vamos a hacerlo de manera coordinada con cada municipio para que podamos llegar precisamente a ese lugar donde a veces los instrumentos antes no han llegado y que necesitan ayuda en tiempos difíciles”.
Sobre la transferencia del Fondo Solidario a los municipios de la región Urquieta dijo que “son recursos frescos que van a permitir que estas últimas entidades cuenten con más posibilidades de ayuda a las familias más vulnerables”.
Asimismo, recordó que el viernes comenzó la transferencia de más de 288 millones de pesos por parte del sector salud a todos los municipios para que puedan contar con mejores posibilidades de atención a los pacientes de cada comuna en el contexto de pandemia.
La ayuda se entregará directamente en los hogares, sin la necesidad de que los beneficiarios salgan de sus residencias, con la finalidad de poder resguardar al máximo a la población. La canasta incluye legumbres, fideos, leche, azúcar, harina, jabón y detergente, entre otros productos.
