Instituto Teletón de Atacama recibe acreditación de la Superintendencia de Salud por excelencia en atención
El organismo certificó que el centro regional cumple todas las prácticas y estándares descritos por la autoridad sanitaria en términos de seguridad y calidad clínica en atención a pacientes.
Tras un largo proceso de preparación, el Instituto Teletón Atacama fue acreditado por la Superintendencia de Salud luego de haber dado cumplimiento a las normas del “Estándar General de Acreditación de Prestadores Institucionales de Atención Abierta” del Ministerio de Salud (Minsal).
En 2018 el instituto recibió por primera vez esta importante certificación. Y, este año, fue nuevamente acreditado, lo que lo reconoce como un prestador que da cumplimiento a las mejores prácticas establecidas por la autoridad sanitaria, y como un establecimiento de salud de excelencia, que asegura seguridad y calidad clínica a todos sus pacientes.
Joyce Lavanchy, directora del Instituto Teletón Atacama, enfatiza que “todo el proceso para lograr esta acreditación se constituyó como una oportunidad de incrementar la unión y colaboración entre todos los trabajadores, en pos de mantenernos en este círculo virtuoso de mejora continua de calidad y seguridad con la que ofrecemos nuestros servicios de rehabilitación integral”.
Asimismo, destaca que al equipo de Teletón Atacama lo mueve el cariño, la vocación y el compromiso de esforzarse cada día para contribuir a la inclusión de niños, niñas y jóvenes en situación de discapacidad. “Hoy estamos felices, y está renovada nuestra motivación al verla reflejado en el resultado de ser acreditados por segunda vez”, dice la doctora Lavanchy.
La certificación, que es otorgada por un periodo de tres años, estuvo a cargo de una entidad acreditadora externa, y fiscalizada por la Superintendencia de Salud, la que evaluó rigurosamente áreas como la competencia profesional, procesos internos, acceso y atención a los pacientes, instalaciones, entre otras.
Teletón solicita estas acreditaciones en cumplimiento a sus lineamientos institucionales, y como parte de su compromiso con la calidad de los servicios que ofrecen a pacientes en los institutos, la búsqueda de excelencia y mejores prácticas, así como someterse a miradas externas que evalúen y señalen sendas de crecimiento y desarrollo.
En los últimos 12 meses, el Instituto Teletón Atacama ha atendido a 758 niños, niñas y jóvenes provenientes de comunas como Copiapó, Vallenar, Tierra Amarilla, Caldera, Chañaral, Diego de Almagro, Huasco, Alto del Carmen, Freirina, El Salvador, entre otras.
