Hospital Provincial del Huasco suspende visitas a internados ante alza de casos Covid
El Hospital Provincial del Huasco informa a la comunidad, que a partir del miércoles 26 de enero de 2022 se suspenden las visitas a usuarios hospitalizados debido a la contingencia sanitaria por COVID-19, que va al alza en las cuatro comunas. Esta medida es tomada, según los acuerdos establecidos en el protocolo del recinto asistencial según la evolución que va presentando el actual escenario epidemiológico en la zona.
El director del Servicio de Salud Atacama (SSA), Claudio Baeza, señaló que “estamos tomando todas las medidas necesarias para evitar los contagios al interior de los establecimientos. Esto nos llevó a suspender las visitas en el Hospital Provincial del Huasco que se suma a las que teníamos como medidas restrictivas en el Hospital Regional de Copiapó”.
Señaló además, que el objetivo es proteger a los pacientes y al personal hospitalario. “Sabemos que con alta positividad y alta transmisión viral, el riesgo de contagio es mucho más alto del que podíamos tener en situaciones anteriores”.
Ante la situación epidemiológica de la Provincia del Huasco, la cual ha mantenido un alza sostenida de casos en los últimos días, se tomó la determinación que es una medida transitoria, pero que permitirá proteger a los pacientes del hospital y los funcionarios del recinto.
