Gobierno anuncia la candidatura de Chile para el Consejo de DD.HH. de la ONU: “Ha sido un evento muy emotivo”
La elección se realizará en octubre próximo.
Las ministras de Relaciones Exteriores, Antonia Urrejola, y de Justicia y Derechos Humanos, Marcela Ríos, anunciaron la candidatura de Chile para el Consejo de Derechos Humanos de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU).
La canciller manifestó que la instancia “ha sido un evento muy importante y también muy emotivo. Junto con la ministra de Justicia; el cuerpo diplomático; la embajada ante Naciones Unidas, Paula Narváez; la defensora de la Niñez; distintas autoridades nacionales; y también, muy importante, organizaciones de la sociedad civil; para el gobierno del presidente Boric la candidatura de Chile ante el Consejo de Derechos Humanos es fundamental, es una muestra del compromiso que tenemos tanto a nivel internacional como a nivel interno con la agenda de derechos humanos en su amplio espectro”.
