Más de cien competidores de diferentes partes del país dieron vida al campeonato regional de MTB, en Vallenar el circuito Mina Vieja, organizado por el club deportivo Academia y la Asociación de Ciclismo de Vallenar, además de ser financiado por el Gobierno Regional y apoyado por el municipio de Vallenar.

Un duro circuito que se emplazó en el sector de mina Vieja y que cada competidor, de diferentes categorías, completó con esfuerzo y motivación.
