El COCh nombró al golfista Guillermo Pereira como el Mejor Deportista del 2021
El golfista Guillermo Mito Pereira tuvo una gran trayectoria en el 2021 y por ello fue reconocido como el Mejor Deportista Chileno del año en la gala olímpica realizada por el Comité Olímpico Chileno.
El deportista nacional tuvo destacadas actuaciones en su ingreso al PGA Tour y logró el cuarto lugar en los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio 2020, donde rozó la medalla de bronce y terminó recibiendo un diploma olímpico.
«No me lo esperaba cien por ciento. Hubo muchos deportistas este año que compitieron muy bien. Este es un premio tremendo. En el golf, siempre se nos premia distinto y esta vez estar al frente de todos los deportistas es algo increíble», dijo Pereira.
«La meta es estar en los Juegos Olímpicos de París 2024 y poder representar a Chile de nuevo lo mejor posible. Obviamente una medalla de oro sería increíble, pero ya poder representar al país y hacerlo bien nos ayuda mucho a todos los deportistas», añadió.
