Este lunes por la noche se realizó el primer debate presidencial entre los cuatro candidatos de Chile Vamos, el cual estuvo marcado por numerosos momentos de tensión en los cuales Ignacio Briones (Evópoli), Mario Desbordes (RN), Sebastián Sichel (Ind.) y Joaquín Lavín (UDI) confrontaron posturas e intentaron golpear a sus contendores.

Sin embargo hubo al menos cinco episodios que destacaron durante la transmisión del programa, el cual se extendió por cerca de dos horas y media, en los cuales los abanderados fueron emplazados o se apuntaron directamente por algunos de sus planteamientos o episodios del pasado.

EL PENDRIVE DE LAVÍN

Uno de los momentos que generó más atención fue cuando el candidato de la UDI, Joaquín Lavín, abordó el tema de la seguridad ciudadana. Luego de asegurar que durante un eventual gobierno suyo se involucraría personalmente en la lucha contra la delincuencia, mencionó la necesidad de dotar de mayor equipamiento a las policías. En ese momento, el alcalde de Las Condes dijo que la PDI cuenta con un solo pendrive para sacar información de celulares incautados a narcotraficantes, el cual fue regalado por su comuna. Ante esa afirmación, el abanderado independiente, Sebastián Sichel, lo emplazó diciendo que solo con una aplicación «no sirve» perseguir el narcotráfico.

EL FACTOR LARROULET

La figura del asesor del Presidente Sebastián Piñera, quien ha sido apuntado como una de las figuras más influyentes de La Moneda, fue recurrente durante la emisión del programa. En uno de sus pasajes, el candidato de RN, Mario Desbordes, acusó en varias oportunidades que el ex ministro tiene a Sichel como candidato predilecto. Ante ello, el independiente replicó: «Primero, pedirle disculpas a Joaquín Lavín. Tantos años de amistad con Cristián Larroulet y ahora me lo cargan a mí. No tengo idea si está conmigo, no he hablado con él hace mucho tiempo, pero me encanta esto, que es tan de la vieja política».

CHOQUE COMPLEJO BRIONES-SICHEL

Uno de los puntos que generan más críticas al oficialismo es el manejo de la pandemia y la calidad de la ayuda entregada a las personas. En ese contexto, Briones interpeló a Sichel para que diera cuenta de por qué se había negado a un acuerdo para aumentar los bonos cuando él era titular de Desarrollo Social.

LAVÍN Y SU RELACIÓN CON LA EXTREMA DERECHA

Un momento incómodo vivió Lavín cuando fue consultado sobre si haría un pacto con el Partido Republicano en una posible segunda vuelta. Luego de algunas evasivas, el jefe comunal indicó que «yo he planteado que en el futuro hay que hacer un gobierno de acuerdos que prolongue estos dos tercios con los cuales se va a tener que aprobar la nueva Constitución». «Por lo tanto, estoy dispuesto a trabajar con todos (…) Ya lo ha dicho José Antonio Kast, él va a ser candidato en primera vuelta. ¿Puede haber un pacto parlamentario? Sí, tal como lo hubo para la nueva Constitución (…) Mi gobierno va a ser amplio, va a ser integrado hacia todos los lados”, aseguró.

 LEGALIZAR O NO LA MARIHUANA

Otro aspecto que enfrentó a los abanderados fue el del narcotráfico. Sobre este punto, Briones se mostró abierto a legalizar la marihuana, lo cual fue compartido con matices por Sichel. Sin embargo, Lavín expresó su rechazó a esa iniciativa, recordando que incluso ha llamado por teléfono a jóvenes para que no consuman. «Por ningún motivo legalizaría la marihuana (…) me ha tocado muchas veces empatizar con mamás que se sacan la mugre para que sus hijos no caigan en la droga. De repente me pasan el teléfono ‘don Joaquín, por favor llame a mi hijo y pídale que no fume, que no caiga en la marihuana’”, indicó, generando reacciones en redes sociales.
