Cultor colla recibe distinción en concurso Artesanía Indígena 2020

Un conjunto de 15 artesanas y artesanos indígenas (10 ganadores/es y 5 menciones honrosas) han sido reconocidas/os con el Sello Artesanía Indígena 2020, reconocimiento que por quinto año consecutivo entrega el Ministerio de las Culturas, a través de la Subdirección Nacional de Pueblos Originarios del Servicio Nacional del Patrimonio Cultural, en colaboración con el Programa de Artesanía de la Universidad Católica de Chile.

Destacar que uno de los cultores en esta oportunidad fue Humberto Guajardo Quispe (Colla), de la localidad de Piedra Colgada Sur en la comuna de Copiapó, región de Atacama, quien realizó el «Riendero», artesanía hecha en metal.

La convocatoria se propone como un incentivo a la promoción y revitalización de los conocimientos y técnicas artesanales tradicionales de pueblos indígenas, oficio vinculado a una de sus expresiones artísticas más relevantes de estos pueblos, como es la artesanía tradicional. Además, dicho reconocimiento busca contribuir a la proyección de estas expresiones culturales tradicionales indígenas en el marco del trabajo de revitalización cultural que desarrolla la Subdirección Nacional de Pueblos Originarios, en conjunto con una red de organizaciones indígenas en todo el país y afrochilenas en la región de Arica y Parinacota.

Este 2020, la convocatoria se adaptó al contexto de emergencia sanitaria que se enfrenta en el país debido al Covid-19. Es así que, como una forma de apoyar a las artesanas y artesanos indígenas en este complejo momento, esta versión del Sello Artesanía Indígena aumentó de 7 a 10 las obras ganadoras y de 3 a 5 las menciones honrosas. Las obras ganadoras reciben entre otros beneficios un premio de 1 millón de pesos, mientras que las menciones honrosas se hacen acreedoras a 500 mil pesos.

Un jurado experto en la materia, conformado por un grupo de académicos y artesanos indígenas, escogió entre las 208 postulaciones recibidas en la convocatoria pública normada por bases de concurso.

Martín Mario González Calderón (Yagán), de Puerto Williams, comuna de Cabo de Hornos, región de Magallanes, autor del «Arpón Aoea» realizado en hueso de ballena.

Juan Segundo Antihuen Neihual (Mapuche), de la Comunidad Pedro Caniulaf del sector Külako en la comuna de Villarrica, región de La Araucanía, autor del «Llepü», obra hilada en fibra vegetal.

Francisco Arroyo Edén (Kawésqar), residente en la localidad de Puerto Edén, región de Magallanes, autor de la obra en cuero y madera «Jekáne alowíkčes káwes».

Khano Llaitul (Mapuche), de la comuna de Cerro Navia en Santiago, región Metropolitana, con su trabajo de orfebrería «Trompe forjado».

Humberto Guajardo Quispe (Colla), de la localidad de Piedra Colgada Sur en la comuna de Copiapó, región de Atacama, quien realizó el «Riendero», artesanía hecha en metal.

Yesenia Melinao Curín (Mapuche), de la comuna de Lo Espejo en Santiago, región Metropolitana, autora de la obra textil «Püchi-Txarihue Ligtui».

Julia Matamala Llancao (Mapuche), residente en la localidad de Puerto Dominguez, comuna de Saavedra, región de La Araucanía, con su obra hecha en cerámica «Epu ketru metawe».

Celinda Castro Challapa (Aymara), de Central Citani, comuna de Colchane, región de Tarapacá, quién realizó la «Mallku Bistalla» en textilería.

Ceferino Choque García (Aymara), también de Central Citani, con su obra textil «K’orawa».

Juana Flores Mamani (Aymara), de Aravilla, comuna de Colchane, región de Tarapacá, con su trabajo textil «Axo o Jurkho».

Menciones honrosas

Daniela Gallardo Navarro (Yagán), de Punta Arenas, región de Magallanes, con la obra de cestería «Annuja».

Juan Cayupán Martínez (Mapuche), de Kiliwe, comuna de Cañete, región del Biobío, con su «Ñolkin tradicional», obra hecha en cacho y madera.

Daniel Figueroa Huencho (Mapuche), de Nueva Imperial, región de La Araucanía, con su trabajo de orfebrería «Kitxa (pipa) Ceremonial».

Julia Montes Calisaya (Aymara), de Visvirí, comuna de General Lagos, región de Arica y Parinacota, quien realizó «Wisku» en cuero.

Manuel Llauptureo Alfaro (Mapuche), de Bahía Murta, comuna de Río Ibáñez, región de Aysén, con su «Lazo de cuero torcido».
