COVID-19: llegó a chile la primera remesa de la vacuna bivalente

*Se trata de 334.800 dosis del laboratorio Pfizer-BioNTech, que serán parte del nuevo plan de vacunación anual. La vacuna bivalente contiene la cepa original de SARS-COV-2 y Ómicron.

La ministra de Salud, Ximena Aguilera, junto al subsecretario de Salud Pública, Cristóbal Cuadrado, y al subsecretario de Redes Asistenciales, Fernando Araos; anunció la llegada al país de la primera remesa de vacunas Covid-19. De esta forma, se da inicio a lo anunciado en la fase de Apertura que comienza a regir a contar del 01 de octubre.

La autoridad dijo que “esta vacuna es una novedad en Latinoamérica, vamos a ser el primer país que va a empezar a ocuparla y tiene la cepa original de Sars-COV-2, que es la que tenían las otras vacunas, y agrega Ómicron. Eso va a permitir que la vacuna tenga un mejor match entre lo que está circulando y la protección que estamos confiriendo con las vacunas para las personas”.

Este primer envío consiste en 334.800 dosis, con las que Chile supera los 68 millones de dosis de vacunas contra el COVID-19 ingresadas, y que pasan a ser parte del Programa Nacional de Inmunización (PNI), permitiendo la vacunación de forma anual y cuyo calendario se dará a conocer prontamente.

En esa línea, la máxima autoridad sanitaria expresó “esperamos que la población entienda que este es un gran beneficio para los grupos vulnerables que serán incluidos en el calendario de vacunación. Confiamos en una muy buena acogida, que sea una dinámica de vacunación tan buena como la que hemos tenido en el pasado, para seguir siendo de los países que más vacunan en el mundo”.

A esta estrategia de reforzamiento y ampliación de vacunación, las autoridades explicaron que en este nuevo momento de la pandemia el testeo será uno de los pilares que permitirán permanecer y avanzar en esta fase de Apertura.

“Con esto en mente nace la estrategia Yo Me Testeo, que reúne todas las formas en que podemos acceder a este examen, tanto a través del auto testeo con nuestro antígeno en 3 pasos, como también por medio de los operativos de Búsqueda Activa de Casos y el testeo permanente en todos los centros de atención primaria de salud”, explicó el subsecretario de Salud Pública Cristóbal Cuadrado.

En el marco de esa estrategia se espera que las farmacias asociadas al convenio de “Antígeno en 3 pasos”, mediante la que es posible acceder a kits de autotesteo y autorreporte a $3.000, puedan aumentar de 600 a 1000 durante octubre.

“Así, todos podremos comprar, testearnos y reportar nuestros resultados en la plataforma especialmente creada para ello, siguiendo el QR que aparece en la caja o ingresando a través del banner disponible en nuestro sitio web minsal.cl”, valoró Cuadrado.

En tanto el subsecretario de Redes Asistenciales, Fernando Araos, detalló la importancia para el sistema sanitario de la extensión de la Alerta Sanitaria hasta el 31 de diciembre.

“Nos permite adoptar medidas tan útiles y necesarias como el  reforzamiento de la red sanitaria público-privada,  la vigilancia de pacientes con Insuficiencia Respiratoria Aguda (IRA) y también la Investigación epidemiológica particularmente enfocadas en el COVID-19”, explicó que además  que “vamos mantener la conversión de camas, así como la integración de la red público-privada con el fin de contar con todos los recursos disponibles y, en caso de ser necesario, poder hospitalizar a cualquier paciente que así lo requiera”.

Además, el subsecretario reiteró que la vigencia de la Alerta permite al Ministerio de Salud transitar con facilidad entre distintas medidas dentro del Plan Seguimos Cuidándonos, según lo requiera el escenario epidemiológico en el país.
