Comercio regional en peligro por crisis sanitaria

*El sector, que ya había sido golpeado por el estallido social, enfrenta su peor momento, hasta el 70% de los negocios no podría sobrevivir un mes sin ventas, el presidente de la Cámara de Comercio de Copiapó vaticina una “pandemia económica”

(Por Rodrigo Ferrada) Un adverso panorama enfrenta hoy el comercio regional, si desde octubre a diciembre el rubro había sufrido los embates y las pérdidas que trajo el estallido social, viviendo un leve respiro durante el verano, ahora en medio de la pandemia global del Covid-19, la situación amenaza con convertirse en catastrófica.

En tiempos de crisis sanitaria, muchos locales de venta de variados productos y servicios simplemente han cerrado sus puertas o se han visto forzados a adaptarse a funcionar de maneras alternativas, y los consumidores, atemorizados por el futuro, han cortado dramáticamente sus gastos.

Así, mientras cadenas de supermercados y farmacias aumentan sus ventas en medio de la incertidumbre, el comercio minorista por otro lado, languidece mientras intenta resistir uno de los peores momentos en su historia.

LA AMENAZA DEL CIERRE DEFINITIVO

Según una reciente encuesta de la Cámara Nacional de Comercio Servicios y Turismo de Chile (CNC), la situación es crítica, el sondeo, que le preguntó, a empresas de distintos tamaños y servicios para ver la realidad que viven hoy en medio de la crisis sanitaria por el Covid-19, arrojó que el 40% de los consultados no podrá sobrevivir sin un mes de ventas y que el 63% de estas ve difícil implementar la opción de venta digital. Esto, cuando el 55,5% de la muestra dice que no tienen funcionando la modalidad de compra remota, lo cual trae alarma e inquietud, considerando el tiempo por el cual podría extenderse la pandemia.

Según el Presidente de la Cámara de Comercio de Copiapó, Arnaldo Papapietro, tales expectativas a nivel nacional se replican en Atacama: “Acá es muy parecida la situación, sino el 60% el 70%, está colapsado el comercio definitivamente, si se analiza, hay varios sectores que están cerrados definitivamente hasta que la situación cambie, como los pubs , los restoranes que están atendiendo sólo delivery, y la planilla tampoco les da, fuera que hay otros que no se dedican al delivery y están simplemente cerrados, dos rubros que son bastante importantes. Después tenemos rubros de menor escala, tiendas y esas cosas que nadie está comprando, la gente está economizando en medio de la crisis, la gente está evitando los gastos”, dijo.

Advirtió además que el porcentaje podría ser más alto: “Puede ser más de ese porcentaje incluso, cuando llega el momento de pagar la planilla, o el arriendo, a pesar que algunos arrendadores han bajado las rentas, llega un momento en que no da ni para eso, esto va de mal en peor”, señaló.

“Si un enfermo usted lo tiene dos o tres meses acostado en una cama, no significa que al cuarto mes va a salir a correr maratones, tiene que aprender a caminar, esto es lento, a la gente lo va a pillar con los bolsillos sin plata porque van a gastar los pocos ahorros que tienen en tratar de sobrevivir estos tres meses, las pymes sobre todo están muy colapsadas, y esto afecta a sus funcionarios, porque la gente está lamentablemente desvinculando, y claro, si tiene el local cerrado y no tiene ingresos ¿con qué paga?”, argumentó.

PANDEMIA ECONOMICA

Además Papapietro advierte que los efectos de la pandemia del Covid-19 traerán un efecto pernicioso para el comercio y la economía global: “Es como pasó hace tiempo con el aluvión, cuando los locales estaban con 60 u 80 centímetros de barro, aquí es parecido el efecto, pero hay gente seguro que abandonará definitivamente el rubro. Hay mucho stress, hay muchos que miran al cielo y se preguntan ¿Qué voy a hacer?, hay que comer, si usted mira en la calle ni siquiera los ambulantes están,  la pobre gente está todo el día ahí tratando de vender casi la nada misma, la gente no quiere gastar, y además que no sale”, indicó.

“Tenemos una pandemia sanitaria ahora pero estamos empezando a vivir una pandemia económica complicada, somos humanos, tenemos que comer, hay niños, familias, las producción nacional funciona, de verduras, enlatados y eso, pero el que no tiene liquidez, ¿con que compra?, si usted va a las poblaciones va a notar que hay almacenes que tienen de todo, pero las ventas se les vinieron al suelo, la gente está estresada y con temor que pasara en estos tres meses”, manifestó finalmente.
