Christiane Endler nominada para ser la mejor arquera de Europa
La UEFA dio a conocer a los jugadores y jugadoras preseleccionados para ser elegidos como los mejores de Europa y dentro de la lista hay una chilena: Christiane Endler.
La portera nacional ingresó a la lista gracias a su gran actuación en la última edición de la UEFA Champions League femenina, donde alcanzó las semifinales con PSG tras ser eliminadas por Barcelona, equipo que terminó como subcampeón.

La capitana de La Roja femenina luchará por ser la mejor arquera del Viejo Continente con Ann-Katrin Berger (Chelsea) y Sandra Paños (Barcelona). Endler fue la segunda portera que recibió más votos en la preselección, quedando detrás de la alemana, máxima candidata a llevarse el galardón tras coronarse campeona de la Champions.
Cabe mencionar que le preselección de jugadoras fue realizada por un jurado compuesto por los entrenadores de los equipos que alcanzaron los octavos de final de la Champions femenina, expertos y periodistas especializados en el fútbol femenino.
Los resultados de los mejores de la última temporada se darán a conocer el próximo jueves 26 de agosto en Estambul, Turquía. A su vez, en la misma ceremonia también se realizará el sorteo de la fase de grupos de la UEFA Champions League 2021/22.
