Chilenos dejaron de buscar empleo durante el trimestre móvil de febrero
Un explosivo aumento de 267 % mostraron las personas que dejaron de buscar empleo en la Región Metropolitana durante el trimestre móvil de febrero-abril, comparado con igual lapso de 2019 reveló el informe del Observatorio Laboral de la citada zona, que integra la red de Observatorios Laborales del Servicio Nacional de Capacitación y Empleo (Sence).
Dado que técnicamente se definen como inactivos y, por ende, estas 641.858 personas están disponibles para trabajar en cualquier momento, la coordinadora de la instancia, Ángeles Morandé, alerta que es uno de los grupos que se identifica con el de mayor riesgo de caer en el desempleo.
En este contexto, Morandé advierte sobre el alza de mujeres y jóvenes entre los inactivos. En el primer caso, le preocupa la dificultad de recuperar el nivel de participación laboral previo, que “nos costó 10 años”.
En el segundo, remarca que “el problema con este grupo, es que dada la crisis económica en que estamos, les será complejo encontrar trabajo cuando salgan a buscar, como es el caso de los recién egresados”.
