Briones: datos económicos del tercer trimestre “van a seguir siendo negativos”
Ante la caída de 12,4 % de la economía chilena durante el mes de junio, el ministro de Hacienda, Ignacio Briones, remarcó que el segundo trimestre del año fue “para el olvido” y que “vamos a seguir teniendo números negativos, pero menores”. En esa misma línea, se refirió a la puesta en marcha de los planes de empleo anunciados en la Cuenta Pública, pero puso un tono de cautela: “Éste va a ser un proceso gradual”.
El titular de Hacienda expresó que “hay que ser prudente y hay que esperar. Si algo hemos aprendido en esta crisis es que hay mucha incertidumbre y eso también es válido en materia de proyecciones económicas”.
“De lo que estamos bastante convencidos, y como Gobierno lo hemos dicho varias veces, es que el tercer trimestre va a seguir siendo negativo, pero significativamente menos negativo que el segundo, que es un trimestre para el olvido con una caída de 14 %”, dijo Briones. En esa línea, adelantó que “vamos a seguir teniendo número negativos en promedio en el tercer trimestre, pero menos negativo y ya el cuarto trimestre esperamos, ojalá, tener noticias positivas”.
