Amarillos por Chile rechazan la nueva Constitución

La agrupación de centroizquierda Amarillos por Chile confirmó este sábado que apoyará el Rechazo a la nueva Constitución.

“Digamos todos juntos: queremos una nueva Constitución, pero esta no”, concluyó Cristián Warnken tras un discurso en el Hotel Torremayor de Providencia.

“Sí, rechazaremos en el plebiscito de salida, pero el nuestro es un rechazo con esperanza. Porque hay que seguir luchando por una nueva Constitución, una buena Constitución. Pero esta no”, agregó.

En su intervención, el académico enumeró parte de las razones que los llevaron a tomar la decisión.

Entre las principales mencionó la plurinacionalidad, las autonomías territoriales, la eliminación del Senado, el reemplazante del Poder Judicial, el estado regional y el fin de herramientas como el Estado de Emergencia.

“Queríamos una Constitución que nos uniera, que rescatara lo mejor de nuestra tradición republicana y corrigiera lo que hubiera que corregir”, indicó.

Eso sí, tras estudiar el borrador, el líder de Amarillos por Chile aseguró que se encontraron con una estructura básica que “compromete las bases del estado democrático de derecho, del desarrollo económico y social”.

“Chile necesita una nueva Constitución para los nuevos tiempos, pero cualquiera. ¿Por qué los chilenos tendrían que resignarse a cualquier Constitución que se les imponga? ¿No merece el pueblo de Chile una Constitución a la altura de sus anhelos, su historia?”, lanzó.

“Como ciudadanos de centro, de izquierda, no nos sentimos representados por el texto”, complementó.

Si gana el Rechazo, Amarillos por Chile se comprometió a que seguirá buscando una nueva Constitución para Chile.

“Varias veces los chilenos hemos tenido que decir no para avanzar a un futuro mejor”, aseveró Warnken.

“Lo hicimos en 1988 (…). Hoy decimos no a una Constitución que no nos representa”, añadió.
