Maduro desea negociar directamente con Donald Trump y no con sus asesores
El dictador venezolano no descartó sostener un diálogo con el presidente interino, Juan Guaidó.
Nicolás Maduro reafirmó su disposición para entablar negociaciones directas con Estados Unidos, “Si hay respeto entre los gobiernos, y si hay un diálogo, un intercambio de información veraz, a propósito de la crisis social que amenaza a Venezuela y las gestiones que ha hecho el presidente estadounidense, Donald Trump, por tumbarlo del poder.
“No importa cuán grande sea Estados Unidos (…) esté usted seguro de que podemos crear un nuevo tipo de relación, una relación de respeto y diálogo; generas una situación en la que todos ganan. Ya que la confrontación lleva a una situación en la que todos pierden”, dijo en una entrevista con el periódico The Washington Post.
Pese a su disposición al diálogo, Maduro aseguró que prefiere hablar directamente con Trump, dado que responsabiliza a sus asesores, como el secretario de Estado, Mike Pompeo, por el “fracaso” de la política de la Casa Blanca hacia Venezuela.
“Creo que Pompeo vive en una fantasía. No es un hombre con los pies en la tierra. Creo que Trump ha tenido asesores terribles sobre Venezuela. (El exconsejero de la Casa Blanca para la seguridad nacional) John Bolton, Mike Pompeo, (el representante especial para Venezuela) Elliott Abrams lo han llevado a tener una visión equivocada”, señaló.
El dictador venezolano tampoco descartó sostener negociaciones con el presidente interino, Juan Guaidó, pero rechazó su demanda de abandonar la silla presidencial.
La crisis política de Venezuela se radicalizó en enero de 2019 cuando Guaidó se proclamó presidente interino. Varios países occidentales liderados por EEUU reconocen a Guaidó; mientras que China, Rusia, Turquía y otros estados continúan respaldando a Maduro.
Maduro acusó a Guaidó de colaborar con los Estados Unidos para derrocar al gobierno en Caracas con el fin de controlar los vastos recursos naturales de Venezuela.
