Adultos Mayores del ELEAM disfrutan de la belleza del Desierto Florido en Copiapó

Recientemente, adultos y adultas mayores residentes y miembros de la comunidad del ELEAM Desierto Florido visitaron algunos puntos de floración del hermoso fenómeno. En dicha oportunidad, fueron 18 personas mayores que muy alegres y motivados emprendieron rumbo al sector de Travesía de la comuna de Copiapó contando para ello con parte del personal del Establecimiento de larga Estadía para Adultos Mayores, ELEAM.

Esta jornada se enmarca en las actividades del programa anual del establecimiento que se encuentra operando desde agosto del 2021 y que ya cuenta con 51 residentes, siendo 25 hombres y 26 mujeres.

En esta actividad los/as residentes disfrutaron de una breve caminata conociendo los diferentes tipos de flores y colores, así mismo tuvieron la oportunidad de tomarse fotos y recrearse con la fauna como aves e insectos.

En el paseo participó también personal clínico y técnico del ELEAM, entre ellos el Director de continuidad, Antonio Llauco Vega y el Director General de Fundación Cuatro Esquinas, Ariens Miranda Salazar, quien señaló: “esta actividad forma parte de las diferentes formas en las que el equipo del ELEAM Desierto Florido buscan mejorar y promover la calidad de vida de las personas mayores que residen aquí, el hecho de cambiar de ambiente aun cuando a muchos y muchas de ellos les hace bien la rutina, permite que puedan reflexionar, compartir experiencias, ver otros paisajes que en definitiva son elementos o factores protectores para su salud y estado de ánimo que es lo principal”.
Además, agradecer la colaboración del Departamento del Adulto Mayor de la Municipalidad de Copiapó, quien hizo posible el traslado en esta actividad.

La Fundación Cuatro Esquinas lleva 3 años trabajando y liderando en la Región de Atacama, la ejecución de programas y dispositivos de carácter social que dependen del Ministerio de Desarrollo Social y sus diferentes organismos como SENAMA, haciendo énfasis en la ejecución de dispositivos sociales con equipos multidisciplinarios y a su vez  en constante capacitación, buscando actividades y estrategias innovadoras así como apegándose los lineamientos ministeriales que se aplican para cada uno de los programas y en los que el Ministerio se encuentra en permanente retroalimentación y supervisión.

Para conocimiento de la comunidad podemos destacar que trabajamos con un equipo multidisciplinario que cuenta con Fonoaudióloga, Psicólogo, Terapeuta Ocupacional, Trabajadora Social, Kinesióloga, Enfermero, TENS y Cuidadores por turnos de tiempo completo, además del personal administrativo quienes a través de un trabajo conjunto buscan desarrollar el bienestar y promover la salud de las personas residentes a fin de que su estadía sea beneficiosa”, indicó el Presidente la de Fundación, Cristian Aguilar Carvajal.

El ELEAM Desierto Florido cuenta con sus puertas abiertas para que la comunidad pueda visitar y compartir alguna experiencia o talleres junto a sus residentes y mantiene la invitación a colaborar en la Campaña Solidaria de Pañales de Adulto.
