West Ham United comunicó el despido de Manuel Pellegrini
West Ham United comunicó el despido del entrenador chileno Manuel Pellegrini, luego de la caída ante Leicester City por la fecha 20 de la Premier League.
A través de un comunicado, el club londinense indicó que: «A través de David Sullivan (presidente), David Gold y de parte de toda la institución agradecemos a Manuel (Pellegrini) por su trabajo en los últimos 18 meses».
El timonel de los «Martillos» también declaró que: «Fue bastante desconcertante tener que tomar esta decisión. Manuel es un caballero y fue realmente un placer trabajar con alguien de su calibre».
Finalmente, el escrito señala que «De igual forma, está claro que un cambio es necesario para meter al club de nuevo en camino hacia nuestras ambiciones esta temporada. Creemos que debemos actuar rápido para traer un nuevo técnico que tenga el tiempo necesario en cumplir esas metas».
De esta manera, Pellegrini pone fin a su aventura con West Ham, club al que tomó en mayo de 2018 y del que nunca pudo despegar para ser protagonistas en la Premier League.
