El cobre cerró la semana con una caída de casi 4% en su precio. Esto, debido a las restricciones sanitarias del gobierno de China -principal comprador del metal rojo- para combatir el aumento de casos de Covid-19.
El escenario no se presentaba desde el año 2021. Y es que desde agosto del año pasado, el valor del metal rojo se mantiene por sobre lo que se denomina “barrera sicológica”, que son los 4 dólares por libra.
Expertos en economía no descartan que, en un escenario mundial más negativo, la barrera se pueda traspasar, con un precio del cobre por debajo de los 4 dólares.
El metal rojo cerró la jornada en 4 dólares y 11 centavos por libra, el nivel más bajo desde septiembre pasado. En total, en la semana acumuló una caída de casi el 4%.
