Concertista chileno Gonzalo Arias Contreras impartirá clases en destacada casa de estudios en Qatar
El connotado concertista chileno oriundo del Valle de Aconcagua deja su tierra natal para impartir clases en destacado Instituto de Artes en Doha, Qatar.
Gonzalo Arias Contreras, ganador de importantes premios en Estados Unidos, Canadá y Japón, es Doctor en Artes de la Universidad de Georgia y se incorporará a mediados de marzo al prestigioso Instituto de Artes IAID en Doha, Qatar. El instituto IAID es el más prestigioso del Golfo Pérsico el cual está afiliado a University West of London de Inglaterra, pero con su principal sede en Doha.
Arias quien recientemente estuvo colaborando por tres meses como encargado de cultura de la Municipalidad de San Esteban, V región, se toma con calma este importante desafío el cual será un cambio cultural en todo sentido.
La labor educativa de Arias consistirá en impartir lecciones de teoría musical y guitarra a más de ochenta alumnos de varias nacionalidades. Para eso tuvo que postular por medio de concurso al HR-IAID.
Recordemos que el concertista recientemente ha grabado un CD llamado Master Sonatas, el cual sigue sonando gratuitamente en Spotify teniendo una muy buena crítica de la prensa especializada.
¿Qué te parece esta experiencia?
Para mí, esto es un misterio el cual quiero experimentar, nunca he viajado tan lejos con excepción de China o Japón. Es todo un desafío y un choque cultural el cual deberé adaptarme. Siento que la vida como concertista tiene estos cambios de adaptación.
¿Qué te llevó a tener esta experiencia?
Pues ya había sido aceptado en Dubai el mes de noviembre, pero por razones personales no tomé la decisión. Mi familia siempre ha sido un estímulo y también mis ex profesores y compañeros de trabajo. Después de graduarme me propuse trabajar donde haya trabajo, y es eso lo que estoy haciendo, jugar a la ofensiva.
¿Cuál es tu mirada en estos tiempos tan inciertos?
Uff…, un estallido social, el Covid y ahora una guerra sin justificación. Esto de verdad son tiempos difíciles, es muy difícil ser indiferente y concentrarse en la rutina del día a día. Tenemos que ser fuertes y cada día disfrutar a los nuestros.
Que esperas en tu camino como concertista y académico?
Estimular a otros es mi motivo de vida. Ayudar a otros con mi experiencia, la música es pasión y hay que disfrutarla, quizás es bueno ser competitivo pero es importante que la música ayude a niños y jóvenes a distraerse de momentos no tan buenos.
