Más de 20 puestos se instalan en improvisada Feria de La Candelaria no autorizada

Decenas de comerciantes provenientes de distintas partes de Chile, se instalaron en una improvisada feria en la Avenida Circunvalación, sector dónde año a año se realiza la fiesta y la feria de La Candelaria, pese a no contar con la autorización de la Municipalidad de Copiapó.

La feria de La Candelaria se realiza año a año con excepción de los últimos años, en los cuales fue suspendida por la pandemia de COVID-19. Esta medida afectó a cientos de comerciantes que vieron como su principal ingreso se esfumaba.

Este año, fueron más de 20 comerciantes los que se instalaron en el sector a pesar de las restricciones y algunos de ellos manifestaron la preocupación de un posible desalojo.

Los trabajadores señalaron que “hemos participado en La Candelaria hace muchos años, estamos apenados por no tener la oportunidad en la forma correcta de trabajar por parte del municipio, pero nos hemos organizado los comerciantes de Copiapó, Santiago, Caldera y Valparaíso para poder traerles los productos a los vecinos y darles parte de la fuerza que tiene esta feria. Esperamos estar hasta el martes. Esta es nuestra fuente laboral y vinimos con todas las ganas y el ánimo positivo. No queremos traer problemas, vamos a encargarnos de la basura y tratar de que sea una bonita fiesta”.
