Nicolás Jarry luchó y logró el pase a semifinales del Challenger de Sao Paulo
El tenista nacional Nicolás Jarry, 160° de la ATP, batalló hasta el final para lograr un importante triunfo en los cuartos de final del Challenger de Sao Paulo y pudo avanzar a semifinales.
El chileno se enfrentó al boliviano Hugo Dellien, 119° de la ATP y primera raqueta de su país, en un reñido duelo que se definió en dos sets y duró poco más de 2 horas.
Ambos jugadores no se sacaron ventajas con quiebres de servicio y llevaron ambas mangas hasta la definición del tie break. Fue en esta instancia en donde el “Nico” mostró más solidez y ganó los dos sets por 7-6 (3) y 7-6 (5).
Con esta tremenda victoria, Nicolás Jarry avanzó a las semifinales del Challenger de Sao Paulo y cobró revancha ante Hugo Dellien, ya que el boliviano eliminó al chileno hace unos días por la primera ronda del Challenger de Brasilia.
Así, la cuarta raqueta nacional sigue en carrera por el título y suma su tercer triunfo consecutivo en este torneo brasileño tras superar al colombiano Alejandro Gómez (483° de la ATP) por 7-6 (1) y 6-4 y al local Pedro Sakamoto (369° de la ATP) por 6-3 y 6-4.
