Fruta chilena exportada suma 5.296 millones de dólares FOB en el periodo enero-agosto
En el periodo enero-agosto 2021 se registró un total de exportaciones de fruta de 2,66 millones de toneladas por USD 5.296 millones FOB, sin considerar el IVV (Informe de Variación de Valor). Con respecto al mismo período del año anterior, se registró aumento de 1,3% en volumen exportado, y de 3% en valor, de acuerdo a un boletín de la Oficina de Estudios y Políticas Agrarias (Odepa).
De este total en valor, 75% corresponde a fruta fresca, 18% a fruta procesada (jugos, aceites, conservas, congelados, deshidratados), y 8% a frutos secos (nueces, almendras, avellanas, entre otros).
La fruta fresca alcanzó ventas por 2,13 millones de toneladas, equivalente a USD 3.949 millones FOB durante el periodo enero-agosto 2021. Estas exportaciones registran una leve disminución en volumen de -0,1%, y un aumento en valor de 1% comparado con igual período del año anterior.
Las principales especies exportadas en el periodo de análisis en este grupo fueron cereza, que registra exportaciones por 266 mil toneladas, equivalente a USD 1.201 millones FOB, registrando un aumento de 83% en volumen y 26% en valor, en comparación con el mismo período del año anterior, destinadas en su mayoría a China (concentrando 90% del total del valor de envíos de cerezas).
A ese producto le sigue en importancia la uva de mesa, registrando 522 mil toneladas equivalentes a USD 887,8 millones FOB, registrando una disminución de -13% en volumen y -13% en valor en relación con igual período del año anterior, y con envíos principalmente a EE.UU. (47%) y China (15%).
En tercer lugar, están las manzanas, con 546 mil toneladas equivalentes a USD 503 millones FOB, registrando una disminución en los envíos de -4% en volumen y -2% en valor, comparado con igual periodo del año anterior, y donde los principales compradores son EE.UU., Colombia, Países Bajos e India (concentrando 13%, 10%, 9% y 9% respectivamente del total del valor de envíos de manzana).
En cuarto lugar se encuentran los arándanos, con ventas por 96 mil toneladas, equivalentes a USD 484 millones FOB, enviadas principalmente a EE.UU. (50%), Países Bajos (19%) y Reino Unido (10%).
Estas cuatro especies, junto con el kiwi (especie que corresponde al quinto frutal con mayores exportaciones para el periodo de análisis) concentran 83% del valor total de la fruta fresca exportada en el período analizado.
