Entrevista a Elia Pastén Mandiola, Candidata a concejal por Copiapó: «Debemos trabajar por un banco y supermercado en Paipote y mejorar servicios básicos y condición de comerciantes en Copiapó»

Con el objetivo de analizar, informar y exponer sus propuestas a la opinión pública local, la candidata a concejal por Copiapó, Elia Mandiola Pastén, aceptó una entrevista con Diario Chañarcillo.

P: ¿Quién es Elia Pastén?.

R: Yo soy atacameña 100%, nací en la comuna de Chañaral. Realicé mis estudios de enseñanza básica en la localidad de Inca de Oro y concluí mis estudios en el Liceo Politécnico Belén de Copiapó.

A mis 44 años de edad, además de ser esposa y madre ejemplar, fuí vicepresidenta estudiantil y monitora de talleres de adultos mayores en la capital regional. Desde el año 2004 pertenezco a la junta de vecinos Monseñor Fernando Ariztía Ruiz, del sector Llanos de Ollantay, donde me he dedicado apoyar y resolver problemas, necesidades e inquietudes de vecinos. Actualmente soy presidenta de dicha organización social. Entre mis principales anhelos, destacan el ver un banco y un supermercado en Paipote, transformar a Copiapó en la capital regional del turismo de intereses especiales y velar por más seguridad pública y concretar un proyecto a través de una mesa público privada, para que la comuna no continúe con los graves problemas de servicios básicos que hoy presenta. Soy independiente y no tengo militancia política. Evopoli me apoya en esta candidatura con el cupo. Agradezco el apoyo del partido, de mi familia, cercanos y vecinos que conocen mi trabajo social. 

P: ¿Por qué priorizar un banco y supermercado en Paipote?.

R: Como dirigente social conozco las necesidades y requerimientos de los líderes comunales de Copiapó. Por esa razón vamos a crear una unidad o departamento donde vamos a trabajar con tod@s l@s dirigentes sociales. Hay que escucharl@s porque ellos y ellas son los hablan con los vecin@s. Muchas veces los dirigentes necesitan información y mayor comunicación con el municipio y ahí está, creo humildemente el problema y también la solución. En el caso particular de Paipote hay muchos vecinos y vecinas que viven de una sola pensión y lamentablemente no les alcanza para pagar un colectivo o una micro. Para ellos y ellas sería un ahorro contar con un supermercado y un banco aquí. Les cambiaría el mundo. Además, dispondríamos de puestos de trabajos y reactivariamos la economía en este sector. Si soy concejal no prometo inaugurarlos, pero si prometo hacer todas gestiones, con las autoridades, parlamentarios e incluso ir a Santiago a buscar alguna opción para la viabilidad de este sueño que much@s anhelamos.

P: ¿Qué mejoraría en Copiapó?.

R: Con nuestro equipo queremos solicitar recursos al Gobierno Regional, por cierto, a través del alcalde de turno, para mejorar las veredas y calles de la ciudad. Hay muchos adultos mayores que no caminan tranquilos por los hoyos y grietas. Debemos trabajar en ese gran detalle. Además, vamos a hacer todos los esfuerzos, todos los llamados, todas las visitas, tocaremos todas las puertas para que podamos mejorar nuestros servicios básicos. No es posible que en el año 2021 aún tengamos problemas con el agua y la luz.

P: ¿En su programa de trabajo, priorizará las Pymes y el Turismo?.

R: Vamos a conformar una mesa de trabajo, constante y permanente. No solo con aquellas de recintos privados, sino también con aquellas que trabajan en la calle. Hay que apoyar el emprendimiento, pero no con palabras sino con hechos concretos. Por cierto, que mi rol fundamental será fiscalizar el trabajo del edil de turno y cada fiscalización, me comprometo que será pública. Sueño con ver a Copiapó potenciando el turismo local y voy a solicitar al Sernatur, al Ministerio de Economía, por cierto, Sercotec y Corfo, convocar a empresas privadas, al Barrio Alameda, para hacer una ruta de turismo. Una ruta ordenada donde iniciemos con diálogo y proyecciones. Esta ruta debe ser constante, no una reunión de dos días. Debemos analizar seria y responsablemente la viabilidad de recursos. Hacer una reunión o una mesa de trabajo es fácil, pero mantenerla con metas es otra cosa y esto no se ha hecho.
