BALANCE NACIONAL COVID: Atacama entre las regiones que superaron la positividad nacional con un 13%
*174 fallecidos y 6.889 nuevos contagios fueron informados en la última jornada a nivel país.
La tarde de este jueves, el Ministerio de Salud (Minsal) reportó 6.889 nuevos contagios de COVID-19, 4.738 de ellos sintomáticos y 1.652 sin síntomas. Con esto, el total de casos activos ascendió a 38.388.
En las últimas 24 horas, 499 diagnósticos se lograron a través de test de antígeno. En tanto, 63.239 tests de PCR fueron informados, lo que arrojó un 10,07% de positividad promedio a nivel nacional.
Cinco regiones superaron esa marca: La Araucanía (17%), Atacama y Maule con (13%), Metropolitana (12%) y Magallanes (11%).
Además, el Departamento de Estadísticas e Información de Salud (DEIS) añadió 174 nuevos muertos al total nacional, con lo que el número de defunciones asociadas a la covid-19 llegó a 26.247.
UCI
De acuerdo a los últimos datos, la hospitalización en UCI subió de 3.376 pacientes desde el miércoles a los 3.396 de ayer jueves.
Por otro lado, y por tercer día consecutivo, la cantidad de internados sometidos a ventilación mecánica se redujo y llegó a 2.884 pacientes.
Actualmente, el sistema integrado de camas UCI tiene 4.525 unidades, 210 de ellas libres.
Por grupo etario, las personas entre 50 y 59 años siguen representando la mayor ocupación UCI, con 31,27%.
En segundo lugar están los de 60 a 69 (22,26%) y terceros quedaron las personas de 40 a 49 (20,01%).
