Incendio consumió conocido restaurant “La Casona”, de Copiapó

*Según el dueño del local las pérdidas se elevan como mínimo a 40 millones de pesos y 15 trabajadores afectados, el siniestro se habría iniciado por una falla eléctrica en la cocina.

Durante horas de la noche de este miércoles, un incendio afectó a dependencias de restaurante “La Casona” en la comuna de Copiapó, que se ubica en la intersección de calles Atacama y Colipí, donde además en la parte posterior funciona un estacionamiento de vehículos.

A raíz del siniestro debieron movilizarse la totalidad de las compañías del cuerpo de bomberos de la ciudad capital regional, cuyos voluntarios debieron luchar contra las llamas y evitar que el incendio se propagara a viviendas y locales comerciales colindantes.

Afortunadamente no se registraron civiles ni voluntarios lesionados en el combate a las llamas, las que eran visibles desde los sectores altos de la comuna.

Rodrigo Pino, propietario del local afectado, expresó:

“Ayer a las 10 de la noche terminamos nuestro turno de nuestro servicio de delivery, y estando en casa aproximadamente a las 11 me llamaron para dar el aviso, cuando llegué me percaté que el restaurant estaba consumido completamente, esto nos ha enfrentado a un nuevo panorama, tenemos que salir adelante”.

Respecto de las posibles causas del siniestro, Pino comentó:

“Fue un fallo eléctrico en la cocina, LABOCAR en la mañana y bomberos llegaron a esa conclusión, ellos que son entendidos en el tema, dicen que es evidente como el incendio dejó marcado el inicio”.

En cuanto a las pérdidas y personas afectadas, dijo:

“En este momento son 15 trabajadores, más mi esposa, yo, mi familia directa, somos como 20 personas las afectadas, las pérdidas materiales pueden llegar como mínimo a unos 40 millones de pesos, entre equipos, mesas, audio, televisores”.

“Esta casa fue construida en el año 1920, por eso el nombre, “La Casona”, así que vamos a limpiar, sacar escombros, y a salir nuevamente, todos nos podemos caer algún día, el tema es como nos levantamos y el poder de resiliencia para sobrellevar emocionalmente estas situaciones que la vida no nos avisa, esperamos levantarnos y estar aquí en un par de semanas entregando nuestro servicio con nuestras especialidades que tanto disfruta la gente de Copiapó”, comentó finalmente.
