Toda la región Metropolitana a Cuarentena desde el sábado por primera vez durante la pandemia
El Gobierno anunció que toda la región Metropolitana estará en la fase 1 de Cuarentena del plan Paso a Paso, ante el aumento de contagios de COVID-19.
De esta forma, desde el sábado 27 de marzo a las 5:00 entrarán a dicha etapa las comunas de Providencia, Vitacura, Las Condes, Lo Barnechea, Huechuraba, Recoleta, San José de Maipo, Conchalí, Quilicura, Colina, Lampa, Paine, Alhué y Tiltil.
Estas se suman a las comunas que ya estaban en Cuarentena: Santiago, Ñuñoa, Estación Central, Puente Alto, Maipú, La Cisterna, Lo Espejo, Padre Hurtado, San Ramón, Peñalolén, San Bernardo, Pedro Aguirre Cerda, San Miguel, Renca, Isla de Maipo, San Joaquín, Lo Prado, Quinta Normal, La Reina, La Florida, Macul, Cerro Navia, La Pintana, Independencia, Cerrillos, Curacaví, Buin, Talagante, Calera de Tango, El Monte, Melipilla, San Pedro, La Granja, Pudahuel, Pirque, Peñaflor, María Pinto y El Bosque.
Con este anuncio, toda la región Metropolitana estará en Cuarentena por primera vez durante la pandemia.
En la última jornada, la región Metropolitana sumó 2.497 nuevos contagios, la cifra más alta desde el 29 de junio cuando hubo 2.508.
Según el último informe epidemiológico, la región Metropolitana tenía 16.306 casos activos al 21 de marzo, situación similar al informe del 21 de mayo del año pasado, cuando los contagios iban en sostenida alza.
