Fundación Tribu presentó proyecto «LXS 400: Chile delibera» en busca de mejorar la participación de las personas en el sistema democrático
*La iniciativa se da con el apoyo del Senado y varios actores de diversos ámbitos
En una presentación realizada ayer por vía telemática, la fundación Tribu presentó el proyecto «LXS 400: Chile delibera», instancia que busca un mejoramiento de la participación ciudadana en el proceso de deliberación de decisiones dentro del sistema democrático, utilizando metodología de destacados académicos internacionales, principalmente de la Universidad de Standford en Estados Unidos, que incluye deliberación y opinión ciudadana sobre temas centrales en la sociedad.
Al respecto, Tomás González, director ejecutivo de Fundación Tribu, expresó:
“La iniciativa de la cual vamos a conversar hoy se llama «LXS 400: Chile delibera», es una iniciativa de la fundación Tribu junto a un gran grupo de otros actores que la están impulsando, tenemos todo el compromiso puesto para que sea un aporte significativo al desarrollo del país en los tiempos que se están viviendo”.
“La fundación Tribu es una organización sin fines de lucro y sin afiliación partidaria, totalmente independiente, que trabaja enfocada en el desarrollo de innovaciones que permitan mejorar el sistema democrático, la iniciativa se basa en la metodología del académico James S. Fishkin, que ha sido utilizada más de 100 veces alrededor del mundo, se ha utilizado para abordar reformas a constituciones en distintos países inclusive”, sostuvo.
“Es utilizado para abordar reformas económicas, sociales y todo tipo de temáticas logrando involucrar la participación ciudadana en un proceso de decisión, después de 2 años de trabajo preliminar, logramos conseguir el apoyo formal del Senado y de la Asociación Chilena de Municipalidades, para implementar por primera vez esta metodología en Chile”, comentó.
“El centro de esta iniciativa es conocer la voluntad de las personas, algo que es tan fundamental para la democracia, y que es tan difícil, porque hemos visto en el último tiempo la gran cantidad de dificultades y falencias que tienen las encuestas, y el hecho que los cabildos y plebiscitos no son suficientes y es necesario ampliar las herramientas del sistema democrático”, acotó.
