Prisión preventiva para 13 ex-carabineros por asociación ilícita y contrabando
El Juzgado de Garantía de Iquique decretó la medida cautelar de prisión preventiva de 13 ex-carabineros y 3 civiles, acusados como autores de los delitos de asociación ilícita, cohecho, contrabando, lavado de activos y robo con intimidación y violencia.
Según el Ministerio Público, estos ilícitos habrían sido cometidos entre noviembre de 2017 y principios de 2019, en la provincia del Tamarugal.
En la audiencia de formalización, que se extendió por dos jornadas, el magistrado Mauricio Chía Pizarro ordenó el ingreso de los excarabineros R.R.S., S.F.G., E.A.R., J.N.F., I.S.V., L.P.P., E.J.R., C.R.F., A.V.H., W.R.G., M.G.I, J.C.N. y J.M.G. a recintos policiales de Pozo Almonte, Iquique, Alto Hospicio, Rancagua, Arica, Copiapó, María Elena y Coyhaique; y de los civiles S.M.C., K.T.C. y L.M.G. al Centro Penitenciario de Alto Hospicio, por considerar que la libertad de los imputados constituye un peligro para la seguridad de la sociedad. Además, fijó en 120 días el plazo de investigación.
