Reflexión rotaria en momento de crisis nacional

Con profunda preocupación por la crisis social y política por la que atraviesa hoy nuestro país y atentos a su desarrollo, Rotary Club de Copiapó se reunió para reflexionar sobre la contingencia nacional y nos hacemos un deber declarar:

Compartimos plenamente el anhelo mayoritario de los ciudadanos de nuestro país, de construir una sociedad más justa, equitativa y diversa.

Creemos que es urgente diseñar caminos de salida para avanzar hacia las soluciones de los graves problemas que nos aquejan como sociedad.

Sin embargo, como organización que procura la solución pacífica de los conflictos, consideramos que se debe privilegiar el diálogo y la razón en el debate de las formas en que se manifiesta la desigualdad y la falta de justicia social, en el rol de los diversos actores en la búsqueda de soluciones, en la construcción de acuerdos que fortalezcan nuestro sistema democrático y en la construcción de una nueva sociedad donde realmente prime la igualdad, la dignidad y el respeto.

Hacemos un llamado para que los poderes Ejecutivo y Legislativo actúen con la mayor celeridad posible, a fin de resolver los problemas de fondo que afectan a los habitantes de nuestro país, de modo que se recupere lo más pronto posible la convivencia nacional, armónica, sana y pacífica.
