Búsqueda Activa de Casos detecta entre 40 y 50 % de los nuevos diagnósticos
Entre el 40 y el 50 % de nuevos contagios de covid-19 son detectados a través de la Búsqueda Activa de Casos (BAC), que comenzó hace dos semanas y consiste en «salir a buscar a personas que no tienen síntomas y que no están consultando», la subscretaria de Salud Pública, Paula Daza.
Está búsqueda, que se hace a nivel local, ha arrojado una positividad del PCR de 4,4 % en personas asintomáticas, mientras que la población que presentaron síntomas representa el 17 %, agregó el ministro Enrique Paris.
Pero Daza fue más clara y que alrededor del 30 % de los pacientes que dan positivo en el BAC son asintomáticos, dependiendo de la región.
No obstante recordó que el covid-19 «probablemente es un virus endémico, nos va a acompañar por mucho tiempo -no menos de un año- y tenemos que aprender a vivir con él». (FKG)
