Cifra record de 92 personas fallecidas en un día: Minsal reportó 4.207 nuevos casos contagiados por Covid-19 alcanzando un total de 122.499
El Ministerio de Salud informó que en la última jornada se reportaron 4.207 nuevos casos de coronavirus y 92 fallecimientos asociados a Covid-19 en Chile, en un nuevo balance diario del estado de la pandemia.
De esta forma, en el país ya se han registrado 122.499casos totales de contagiosdesde el inicio de la emergencia sanitaria, cuyo primer contagio se conoció el 3 de marzo. Los considerados «activos» corresponden a 21.693, cerca de 300 más que hasta ayer. De los nuevos contagios confirmados, 3.790 son personas con síntomas, mientras que 417, asintomáticos.
Los decesos ascienden a un total de 1.448: de los nuevos, que marcan un nuevo peak, la subsecretaria Paula Daza precisó 20 corresponden al criterio antiguo y 72 al nuevo aplicado desde el balance del miércoles, que considera a aquellos fallecidos con el resultado del examen PCR aún pendiente.
Al respecto, esta fuela última jornada en que la cifra de fallecidos tendrá esa diferenciación, por «transparencia» y para evitar «errores», ya que, «como sabemos, la mayoría de los casos que hemos visto que en el certificado de defunción se informan como asociados a Covid-19, pese a que el PCR no ha sido informado, la mayoría tiene una relación debido a la circulación viral de Covid-19».
«Sabemos que la inmensa mayoría de ellos va a ser confirmado como caso Covid verdadero, y si hay algún caso en que se haya notificado (negativo), estadísticamente se corregirá y se restará, pero es una excepción muy rara», sostuvo el ministro Jaime Mañalich.
