Gobierno extiende la cuarentena en 41 comunas del país
38 de las comunas que seguirán cumpliendo una estricta cuarentena para disminuir la tasa de contagio que ha aumentado vertiginosamente durante los últimos días son de la Región Metropolitana que, hasta ahora, suma un total de 66.011 infectados y 595 personas fallecidas. Las otras tres son Iquique y Alto Hospicio, en Tarapacá, así como Lonquimay en Araucanía.
La medida se reactivará este viernes, 29 de mayo, a las 22:00 horas y tendrá una vigencia de una semana, hasta el viernes, 5 de junio, a la misma hora. En ese sentido, todos los que estén bajo estas restricciones no podrán circular por las calles, a menos que cuenten con los salvoconductos obtenidos por razones justificadas.
El ministro de Salud, Jaime Mañalich, también informó que Antofagasta y Mejillones saldrán de cuarentena este viernes y que los cordones sanitarios se levantarán en Temuco y Padre Las Casas, mientras que en San Antonio, Chiloé Puerto Williams y Punta Arenas seguirán vigente. En las zonas donde se alivió la estrategia de restricción, dijo que se reforzarán las residencias sanitarias obligatorias con el fin de evitar nuevos focos de contagios.
Respecto a la posibilidad de decretar cuarentenas en la Región de Valparaíso, que lleva 2.576 contagios y 58 muertos, el ministro dijo que se va a acentuar la medida de residencias sanitarias obligatorias para todas estas personas y sus contactos, porque “los datos no lo avalan”. (FKG)
