PUCOBRE y Rotary Club de Copiapó entregan cajas con alimentos a familias de escasos recursos en localidad de Paipote
En el marco del “Plan COVID-19 Rotarios en Acción”, en una alianza conjunta entre la Minera PUCOBRE y Rotary Club de Copiapó, fueron distribuidas una importante cantidad de cajas con alimentos no perecibles a adultos mayores, familias de escasos recursos y comunidad de la Escuela “Hernán Márquez Huerta”, de la localidad de Paipote.
Los rotarios y PUCOBRE participaron el fin de semana en esta actividad de servicio desarrollada en terreno, ocasión en la que entregaron la ayuda a dirigentes vecinales y representantes del establecimiento educacional, quienes tras recepcionar las cajas con alimentos las distribuyeron entre las familias más necesitadas.
En el operativo conjunto también obsequiaron mascarillas de protección respiratorias para prevenir el contagio del Coronavirus.
El Presidente de Rotary Club de Copiapó, Héctor Naveas Olguín y el Jefe de la Unidad Comunitaria de la Gerencia de Sustentabilidad de PUCOBRE, José Escobar Flores, junto con destacar la importancia que tiene para nuestros vecinos apoyarlos con alimentos en estos tiempos de pandemia, valoraron la alianza conjunta entre ambas instituciones que por años realizan iniciativas de servicio humanitario, materia educacional y operativos de asistencia social y de salud.
