Llegaron ocho de los ventiladores mecánicos que financió el Gobierno Regional
A la Red Asistencial de Atacama llegaron ocho de los 11 ventiladores mecánicos que se van a incorporar a las Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos para fortalecer la atención médica durante la pandemia. El intendente Patricio Urquieta, explicó que con esto se busca ofrecer seguridad de atención a los pacientes que “eventualmente tengan problemas respiratorios asociados al covid-19 en el futuro”.
Los respiradores se distribuirán -por ahora y en partes iguales- entre el Hospital Provincial del Huasco en Vallenar y el Hospital Regional de Copiapó y, posteriormente, cuando lleguen los otros tres, incluyendo el de transporte, se entregarán al “San José del Carmen”.
Las máquinas de ventilación pulmonar se suman a las 41 que ya tiene la Red Asistencial para dar un total de 49 y cuando se incorporen los tres que faltan, la capacidad será de 52 para toda la región para “robustecer la atención en los diferentes hospitales”. (FKG)
