IMACEC de Septiembre cayó 0,6% respecto del mes precedente

De acuerdo con la información preliminar, el IMACEC de septiembre de 2019 creció 3,0% en comparación con igual mes del año anterior. La serie desestacionalizada cayó 0,6% respecto del mes precedente y creció 2,2% en doce meses. El mes registró un día hábil más que septiembre de 2018.

El IMACEC minero cayó 1,6%, mientras que el IMACEC no minero creció 3,5%. Este último se vio favorecido por el desempeño de las actividades de servicios y construcción. En términos desestacionalizados, y con respecto al mes anterior, el IMACEC minero y el no minero cayeron 2,9% y 0,4%, respectivamente. Conforme al calendario de difusión de las cifras de Cuentas Nacionales, los resultados preliminares del PIB correspondientes al tercer trimestre del año en curso, así como las revisiones del primer y segundo trimestre, serán difundidos el próximo 18 de noviembre.

El Indicador Mensual de Actividad Económica (Imacec) es un indicador sintético de la evolución real de los distintos sectores económicos en un determinado mes, de acuerdo a la Compilación de Referencia 2013. La metodología de cálculo de las Cuentas Nacionales en sus distintas frecuencias, se presenta en el documento “Cuentas Nacionales de Chile: Métodos y fuentes de información”.
