La iniciativa, liderada por el excandidato presidencial de Estados Unidos, el senador Bernie Sanders, y por la representante Ilhan Omar, demócrata de Minnesota, surge en medio del creciente temor de que los países en desarrollo y las economías emergentes se vean devastados por la pandemia.
