FMI aprobó 18.000 mln dlr en 50 pedidos de ayuda
El Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI) ha aprobado pedidos de ayuda de emergencia de 50 de sus 189 miembros por un total de 18.000 millones de dólares y continuará trabajando para abordar otras decenas de solicitudes, dijo el jueves el portavoz Gerry Rice.
El consejo ejecutivo del FMI considerará un pedido de Egipto para financiamiento de emergencia y reestructuración de su deuda el 11 de mayo, dijo Rice, aunque no mencionó a todos los países que aún tienen pendientes las revisiones de sus solicitudes de asistencia económica. Lo que sí dijo es que sus expertos evalúan pedidos de Sri Lanka, Sudáfrica y Zambia.
