Maduro pide ayuda a líderes mundiales luego que EEUU ofreciera 15 millones de dólares por su captura
El presidente de Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, solicitó este lunes el apoyo de líderes mundiales después de que Estados Unidos lo acusara de delitos de narcotráfico y ofreciera 15 millones de dólares por su captura.
“Ante tan graves circunstancias, solicito su invalorable apoyo ante esta insólita y arbitraria persecución” de Washington, dice una carta firmada por Maduro y leída este lunes por el canciller, Jorge Arreaza.
La misiva se “está enviando personalizada a cada uno de los presidentes, jefes de gobierno, jefes de Estado”, especificó Arreaza en una alocución televisada.
El mandatario socialista y varias figuras del poder,
como el ministro de Defensa, el general Vladimir Padrino, fueron acusados el
jueves por Washington de haber “inundado” a Estados Unidos con cocaína
colombiana.
La
administración de Donald Trump ofreció entonces 15 millones de dólares por
informaciones que permitan detener a Maduro y fijó
otras recompensas por otros funcionarios y exfuncionarios del chavismo.
Esa “pantomina estadounidense” está “conduciendo a un peligroso momento de tensión en el continente”, según Maduro, quien consideró los cargos falsos y llamó a Trump “miserable”.
