«No son invencibles»: OMS advierte a jóvenes sobre coronavirus
El coronavirus puede enfermar o matar a los jóvenes, que deben evitar las reuniones para no propagarlo a las personas mayores y más vulnerables, dijo el viernes la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS).
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director general de la OMS, dijo en una conferencia de prensa virtual: “Hoy tengo un mensaje para los jóvenes: no eres invencible, este virus podría llevarte al hospital por semanas o incluso matarte”.
“Incluso si no te enfermas, las decisiones que tomes sobre dónde ir podrían marcar la diferencia entre la vida y la muerte de otra persona”, añadió.
En medio de la escasez de equipos de protección para trabajadores de salud y pruebas de diagnóstico, se necesitarán “puentes aéreos” para llevar suministros a los países, dijo el doctor Mike Ryan, experto en emergencias de la OMS.
