Empresas Copec castigó en US$122 millones la inversión en Mina Invierno, cuyas faenas se encuentran paralizadas tras el fallo del Tribunal Ambiental que anuló la RCA que permitía el uso de tronaduras y a la espera de que la Corte Suprema revise el recurso de casación presentado por la minera.
La información de la empresa se dio a conocer a través de un hecho esencial enviado a la CMF donde indicaron que “dada su participación de 50% en Inversiones Laguna Blanca S.A., Empresas Copec deberá registrar, en sus Estados Financieros del ejercicio 2019, un resultado negativo extraordinario por este concepto, de aproximadamente US$122 millones”.
Los estados financieros de Inversiones Laguna Blanca S.A. (matriz de Mina Invierno S.A. y relacionadas) fueron aprobados este lunes en una sesión del directorio.
Además durante esta semana, empresas Copec -ligada al grupo Angelini- dará a conocer sus resultados corporativos correspondientes al año 2019.
Cabe destacar que en agosto del año pasado el Tribunal Ambiental de Valdivia dio a conocer su resolución sobre las tronaduras en Mina Invierno, lo que llevó a que la empresa junto a los sindicatos apelarán ante la Corte Suprema la resolución, para revertir la prohibición del uso de tronaduras en el yacimiento.
El máximo tribunal del país declaró admisibles estos recursos de casación y podría revisarlos en el mes de abril.
