EXTRA: Confirman primer caso de Coronavirus en Chile que afecta a joven médico
A menos de una semana de la llegada del coronavirus a Latinoamérica, Chile confirma el primer infectado con la epidemia.
De acuerdo al Ministerio de Salud, se trataría de una persona de 33 años, médico chileno, con antecedentes de viaje por un mes por el sudeste asiático, particularmente en Singapur. En ese país se cuentan 110 casos confirmados y ningún fallecido.
El caso fue notificado por el Instituto de Salud Pública (ISP) y el Laboratorio del Hospital Guillermo Grant Benavente, luego de analizar la muestra del paciente mediante la técnica PCR.
La persona se encuentra en el Hospital de Talca en buenas condiciones generales de salud y será dada de alta, pero bajo vigilancia epidemiológica en su domicilio. (Noticia en Desarrollo).-
